This band is specifically designed for performing deep margin elevation.

Creates a divergent proximal profile and apical seal as an ideal platform for your indirect restoration⁣

The shape of this band is designed to have an intense curvature to allow convergence and a tight subgingival fit.

Uses standard Tofflemire, creates greater curvature

Gergis DME Matrix Instructions for Use

1) Clean the deep margin and perform gingivectomy if needed

2) Isolate the deep margin with rubber dam

3) Place the Gergis Matrix band in the tofflemire holder and tighten the setting screw

4) Narrow the matrix loop to approximate the tooth before seating

5) Seat the matrix over the tooth and apply apical pressure whilst tightening fully

6) Perform bonding steps, technique recommendations below:

   a. Universal adhesive – no phosphoric acid etching, apply first coat, leave 10s minimum, air dry 20s, cure 20s, apply second coat, air dry 20s, cure 20s (to overcome low film thickness/oxygen inhibition and the solvents which inhibit polymerisation)

   b. 2 Step adhesive – no phosphoric acid etching, apply primer leave 20s, air dry 5s, scrub adhesive, do not air-dry adhesive (use dry microbrush to remove excess if needed, prevents oxygen inhibition)

   c. 3 Step adhesive – total etch 15s, rinse 15s, scrub primer 15s, air dry 5s, scrub adhesive, do not air-dry adhesive (use dry microbrush to remove excess if needed, prevents oxygen inhibition)

7) Place composite and cure

8) Ensure the elevation is not more than 1mm above the level of the rubber dam for proper emergence profile
